Rhyu Si-min sentenced to 1 year in prison

Regarding the prosecution's acquittal of prosecutor Han Dong-hoon in connection with the Channel A case, Yoo Si-min, former chairman of the Roh Moo Hyun Foundation, expressed discomfort on the 7th, saying, "The prosecution cleared prosecutor Han Dong-hoon in two years and two months without investigating him."

 

Former chairman Yoo met with reporters shortly after the final hearing on defamation charges held at the Seoul Western District Court at the hearing of senior judge Chung Chul-min.

 

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Criminal Division 1 (chief prosecutor Lee Sun-hyuk) judged the previous day that it was difficult to admit the conspiracy charges of prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who was involved in the "Channel A case." The investigation ended more than two years after the allegations were raised.

 

In a related development, former chairman Yoo said, "Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon said he had never been summoned as a witness in this trial," adding that the prosecution did not only open his cell phone but did not investigate. I don't think we've done any investigation at all," he said.

 

Meanwhile, the prosecution demanded a one-year prison term for Yoo Si-min, former chairman of the Roh Moo Hyun Foundation, who was put on trial on charges of defaming Han.
